SAVANNAH, GA, May 2, 2020 – This message is to announce that the 29th National Chautauqua 2020 Convention has been cancelled, due to issues related to the Corona Virus Pandemic and COVID19. Presider Dorothy West, National Public Relations Director of Triumph Church, has been following the health issue very closely. In the wake of the continued progression of the health malady, the decision has been made to cancel the national convention. The safety and well-being of the international and national congregation and membership is paramount. The convention was to be held at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel, July 16 through July 25, 2020, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On a positive note, delegates and members are encouraged to look forward to Chautauqua 2022, which will convene July 13 through 23, 2022, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel.

PLEASE NOTE: The following specifics regarding the cancellation of Chautauqua 2020:

Chautauqua Hotel Reservations

All room reservations for Chautauqua 2020 are being cancelled at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel,1881 S. E. 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315. This is being handled by the reservations staff.

Chautauqua Convention Pre-Registration

Delegates who have pre-registered for the National Chautauqua 2020 Convention registration, or Chautauqua 2020 events such as:

  • Evangelistic Department Eye Opener Breakfast
  • National Youth Education Department VIP Senior Luncheon
  • E. Bernice Harris Scholarship Banquet

Delegates should contact the departmental chairpersons for more information regarding any tickets purchased and any souvenir booklet ad purchases.
